Adobe Systems Incorporated creates a program called "Acrobat" which both makes and reads documents in a universal format called "pdf" (portable document format). It enables the reproduction of documents in their original form and allows them to be view across different "platforms" or computer systems. There are various versions of the reader that are available. The older version, 3.01, is nicer, in many ways.
